Meeting of Southeast Missouri Teachers Association in Cape Girardeau County
The County Teachers Association met last week electing J. T. McDonald as president and Miss Clara Tacke as secretary. Seventy teachers and twenty-five visitors attended, with eighty-eight rural teachers in the county. The group planned a fall meeting with SE Missouri Teachers and discussed school heating, lighting, ventilation, painting, equipment, and beautification. They endorsed Supt. McDonald’s ideas, thanked Prof. Martin and Prof. Johnson, and thanked the County Court and Jackson citizens for hospitality.
