Lincoln public school held closing exercises to a large white audience at Turner Hall Monday night. The program featured well sung choruses, recitations, a fine quartette, a strong harvest moon solo by Alpha Eulenberg, and a thoughtful salutatory by Sadie Eulenberg. Minnie Wade delivered a timely address on the progress of the Negro, Prof. Gunnell praised as an educator, and diplomas were presented to Miss Sadie Eulenburg and Minnie Wade by Prof. T. E. McNeely.

Closing recitals mark Jackson Military Academy year
The Jackson Military Academy closing recitals drew wide notice this year with high quality performances. Col Birmingham opened the Lec ture Course with two fine comedies featuring Mrs. Wilson La Pierre and others. The Cemetery Association benefit concert drew a large audience and praise for Miss Kurre Lusk Behrens and Mr Williams. Miss Sinamon impressed with Liszt Hungarian Rhapsodies and won admiration, while Miss Helmkampf and Miss Weiss also earned acclaim for piano and elocution.
