Farmer W C Evans Killed by Train Near Macon

W C Evans a farmer from near Jackson Georgia was killed by a work train near the Ocmulgee river crossing in Macon as he sat beside the tracks. The engine struck him behind the ear breaking the skull and he died before aid arrived. Funeral and interment were held at Sardis after relatives including his mother and several siblings attended.
