Reward Offered for Liquor Violations by Jackson City Aldermen
The Jackson City Council passes an ordinance offering a twenty five dollar reward for every person convicted in Mayor’s court for selling or keeping liquor within city limits. An additional twenty five dollar reward applies for convictions in state court if sale occurred inside the city. A three hundred dollar appropriation funds rewards and the Mayor may issue warrants to pay recipients. Passed March 28 1902.
