The marriage of Dr W A Starnes to Miss Marbut was solemnized at St Pauls M E Church in Atlanta last Wednesday. The couple will reside at the Browning House on Third Street and friends offer warm congratulations on the union.
J. H. McCallum killed a large hog this week weighing 520 pounds. He notes the pig grew from slops fed after he bought the animal about a year ago.
Mrs. Carter of Concord Pike county names her smart dog Judge Marcus W Beck with the nickname Mark and jokes that he will go to Congress one day and people will name babies after him.
