Grand Jury Presentments of Butts County 1902
The August term 1902 grand jury reports jail repairs and cleaning needs at the courthouse and poor farm, recommends replacing chairs, trimming vegetation, and improving overall cleanliness. They note crops, inmate counts, and livestock at the poor farm, commend D B Moore, and audit county finances and treasurer records. They urge curtailing expenses, abolishing the convict gang, and transferring funds correctly, with officers' pay and public duties outlined.
