Thirtieth Georgia Reunion in Griffin Draws Hundreds
The nineteenth annual reunion of the 30th Georgia Regiment was held at Camp Northen in Griffin on Friday July 25 with about 700 to 800 attendees. Veterans, their families, and Sons of Veterans joined a large procession from the depot to the Commercial Club and campgrounds. Speakers included Col. Boynton Gov. Candler and Gen. Evans, followed by a barbecue dinner presided by Daughters of the Confederacy. Jackson is set as next year’s reunion site.
