On Monday morning J F McKibben received a telegram from McDonough that his father grew worse and died at 5 PM. John McKibben, a Henry county citizen, helped make Tussahaw district famous and was known for generosity to neighbors. He leaves a wife and two sons and many relatives to mourn.

In Butts County Georgia the court will sell before the courthouse door in Jackson on the first Tuesday in May 1895. The property is 72 acres in the Stewart Lee lot in the Ninth District. It is bounded by the original land lines to the north and east and by the Barnes estate and W F Cargill on other sides. The sale is to satisfy a mortgage in favor of Equitable Mortgage Company, against Wm M Roberts, with notice given. Sheriff J C Beauchamp signs the notice this April 4 1895.
