Lost child tale ends with Christmas reunion in Mississippi
A three year old kidnapped girl with light hair and a scar on her right arm is found by Ruth after following Brownies to a hidden mine. Grace, Ruth’s sister, is rescued and the family returns home to Vardeman aboard a train with their parents awaiting them. The tale also notes a fatally hopeful note about a cook receiving a thousand dollars and adds a farmers’ farming note about soybeans and a guaranteed price.
