Tishemingo Hosts Vermont Humorist and Teacher Meeting
Vermont humorist Charles R. Taggart drew a large Tishomingo audience in the A H B auditorium. County teachers approved resolutions urging county supervisors to let the County Superintendent attend all meetings and to host a county field day before schools close. They urged county teachers to join the State Teachers Association and attend next May in Jackson. A forthcoming meeting is set for Dennis with February 28. The basketball game against Henderson, Tennessee, ended 15 to 4 in favor of the local A H S team.

Holcut beat Sardis 25 to 17 in a Monday game. the Sardis team hosts Holcut Friday at Nixon schoolhouse, one mile south of Holcut. Visitors include Miss Lillian Hill and Miss Alma Hill, with Alma Ridge and Effie making a business trip to Holcut.

Seniors Pass Midterm and Plan May Final Exam
The Seniors celebrate Robert E. Lee's birthday in chapel on January 19 and report a successful yearly close election on January 28 with officers President Elizabeth McDonald and Secretary Mamie Hyatt Pyle. The Free School society elected Thomas McDonald as President and Shelley Barnett as Vice President with Louise Foote and A J McKnight as officers. Weekly meetings occur Fridays at 2 30 pm in the chapel inviting outsiders to join. May breathes a daily attendance average of 94 percent. The Ukulele Club entertained in chapel on Monday with four girls performing songs.
