Death of George W. Bishop Affects Tishomingo County
In Tishomingo County mourns loss of George W. Bishop age about 70 who died April 4 1919 after a life of service as a respected citizen and district supervisor. He joined the Baptist church at eighteen and lived a Christian life. His family and friends recall his honesty humor and counsel. Burial was April 6 1919 at the family cemetery with extensive attendance. He was twice married and survived by two children and his second wife. Bishop belonged to the Masonic lodge of Burnaville and was aided by Iuka lodge in funeral ceremonies.
