An unsigned editorial argues banks should not hoard idle funds by buying liberty bonds but should loan to people instead. It claims subscribing frees banks to serve borrowers, supports farmers and businesses, funds war bills, and preserves government credit. It calls Americans to patriotic participation and finishing the job.
A fully equipped battle tank with guns and crews will be in Iuka from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 29 1919. The event at Spring Park offers an all day display with speakers who served in France during the war and is promoted by Victory Loan chairman W T Benner.
A wartime greeting dated October 10 1915 from Wixpsor Caste extending welcome to U S soldiers as they join Allied forces in the Old World. It expresses support and wishes God speed on their mission. The message is attributed to George R I. April 1918.
Citizens are informed under chapter 184 section 2 of the 1918 laws that candidates must notify in writing the Executive Committee of Tishomingo County of their candidacy and the office sought. Notices may be mailed to the writer or Mr J R Jernigan Clerk. Must reach the Committee by May 1, 1919.
The Tishomingo County Agricultural High School holds commencements from April 19 to 21. Program begins April 19 with primary and intermediate grades at 8 p.m. The Sunday sermon by Rev Ira D Harris of Center Alabama. High School graduation on Tuesday features Mr R H Pate of A and M College delivering the address.
