Pennell Creek crops praised as community enjoys Fourth of July

Local residents gathered at Pennell Creek for a July Fourth picnic with 130 diners despite rain earlier in the day. A ball game led by Park Householder and Jay King ended 4 to 6 for the Householder team, followed by steer riding for the children.

Fourth of July Dance on Pennel Creek Ends at Dawn

Paddy Ryan Millard Hoffman and Paul Stelts staged a spirited exhibition of steer busting with Paddy tossed into water and dunked. After supper the group danced until daylight, marking another Fourth on Pennel creek. A dance is planned in the Bowery on Saturday night July 13 inviting all to attend.
