For a decade Mt Kisco had claimed the county crown but at Harbor Island Park Mamaronneck on Sunday Irvington Fire Department won the tug of war title during the 20th Annual Field Day under the Westchester County Volunteer Firemen's Association. Captain Dave Murphy led a five man Irvington team that included Howard Smith Jack Girane and others to a glorious victory aided by First Assistant Engineer Joseph Mattucci and supporting groups from nearby communities.
