Mrs Charles J McClure Dies in Village Funeral Held

Mrs Marquelinda McClure wife of Dr Charles J McClure of Sunnyside Park died Tuesday evening after a short illness at 43. She had lived in Harriman Road for six years. Funeral was Thursday at 11 in Immaculate Conception Church Rev T J Donlon officiated. Body shipped to Chicago for burial in Mt Olivet Cemetery.

John J Downey of North Hi street has replaced James Morgan as village fire department chauffeur. Downey was appointed at a trustees meeting. Morgan served the village faithfully for years. The job pays 125 dollars a month.

Word reached Irvington friends that Mr and Mrs Archibald H Rowan welcomed a daughter at their London residence early last month. Rowan, tied to a large export house in the English capital, has achieved success since leaving the Central Lines. Congratulations go to the happy parents and the little newcomer.
