Hastings Vaudeville Show Promises Benefit for Mortgage Fund
Hastings on Hudson residents are invited to a big vaudeville show at the Hastings theatre on Friday evening November 4 to aid the River View Manor Hose Company mortgage retirement fund. Tickets cost $1.00 with a limited number of reserved seats at $2.00. A benefit dance for disabled soldiers was held October 16 at Fox Hills Hospital under the Woman War Workers Association at the Public school. Many locals attended.

Red Cross Notes Irvington Branch Sends Large Baby Clothing Box
The Irvington American Red Cross shipped a September 30 collection of new and slightly worn baby and children's clothing, with 52 items in total. Auto kills seven year old boy in North H Street crash
Francis Ballard, seven, son of Mr and Mrs George Ballard of North H Street, was struck by Alder man H H Cannon's auto early Saturday. Auto Upset Injuries Four In Dobbs Ferry Crash
A Ford touring car driven by Bing ham England of North E Street capsized on East Sunnyside Lane near Borg entrance Sunday at 2 45 pm. Four occupants including England, Joseph Maffucci, John Mecarty and Joseph Fanelli were ejected. England sustained a broken arm and Maffucci a body injury, others had facial and hand scratches. All except England were taken to Dobbs Ferry Hospital for treatment. The wreckage was bought by Mr Hanrahan of Dobbs Ferry. victims are recovering from the incident.

Burglars Invade Thallman Home On West Clinton
The home of Edward Thallman on West Clinton Avenue was robbed of about 5000 dollars in jewelry on Wednesday evening between 7 and 8 o clock. Mrs Thallman discovered the theft when entering her room. No clue was found and no alarm was raised by the Belgian watchdogs. Authorities await results of fingerprint tests as friends were visiting at the time and the method of entry remains unclear.
