The Woman's Auxiliary of the Dobbs Ferry Hospital met at the nurses residence to organize activities for the season and review progress on the new wing. It agreed to two business meetings monthly, form committees, and focus on Thanksgiving food donations with collection at the hospital on November 8 9 20 21. Dwight Sargent announced the wing should be completed by November 21 and may be occupied in part by December.

Village Observes Armistice Day Ceremony in Irvington
Irvington observed Armistice Day at the War Memorial on the high school grounds. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2511 led by Commander Richard Orwin conducted services. Wreaths were laid by Trustee William A. Fallon for Mayor Frederick Krammer as Rev. Lee Th Ball offered a prayer. The two minutes of silence ended with a three volley salute and taps sung by Girl Scouts led by Captain Isabel Benjamin.

Buckley in Critical Condition After Heart Attack
William A Buckley longtime receiver of taxes in the Toxin of Greenburgh is in critical condition at Dobbs Ferry Hospital after a heart attack. He has had heart ailments for ten years and has been in poor health since Election Day. Buckley, of Mountsin Road East Irvington, has served as town tax official since 1916 and was reelected to a four year term last November. Before serving as tax receiver he ran Buckley Ra ban grocers in a building now occupied by a Socony service station at Main Street and Broadway.
