Warning Against Fake Solicitors By Irvington Post Veterans

V F W Commander Twin R Coan warns residents that solicitors are attempting to collect funds or sell tickets for events claiming post sponsorship. He stresses no posts authorize such solicitations and urges villagers to verify with the police if approached. Trustees Weigh Refuse Plan For Joint District

Bufkin to Head Irvington Kiwanis Club for 1940

Bufkin named president of the Irvington Kiwanis Club for 1940 at the annual meeting held Wednesday night at Rather's Farm Elmsford Mir. He succeeds Joseph Pearce who declined another term. Rev Adam Weir Craig installed as Irvington pastor

The Irvington Presbyterian Church will install Rev. Adam Weir Craig as its eleventh pastor tomorrow evening. He succeeds Rev. Dr. Robert MacGowan, with a service featuring invocations from local clergy and a program including organ music, hymns, and a charge to the new pastor. Dr. Craig, a Princeton graduate now earning further degrees, is noted as a prominent minister in the church’s long history dating back to 1858.
