Services for Samuel Horton Jr son of Mr and Mrs Samuel Horton of Riverview Road were held Monday at Immaculate Conception Church. Rev Daniel H Daley celebrated the high Mass attended by parochial school children and a large faith community. Interment followed at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery with six schoolmates acting as pallbearers. The community extends heartfelt condolence to the bereaved parents during this hour of trial.

Knot tying and rope rescue training session for volunteers

Missing Chief Dog Shocks Ardsley Friends
Residents mourn the absence of Chief, the German police dog owned by Josh Lynch. Once a familiar figure at Ardsley Railroad Station and Joe Lynch Garage, Chief died of old age, was born in Germany on May 2, 19, and buried in Westbrook, Connecticut, on the eve of his birthday May 23, 19.

About 3,000 joined a multi‑part Memorial Day program in Gorey featuring the World War II Memorial on High School grounds, dedication of Memorial Park on South Broadway, and unveiling of a flagpole and monument for Patrolman George B.
