Freddy May and the shipwrecked kitten rescue
A six year old Freddy May, living with his parents on a rock near the sea and the lighthouse, accompanies his father on a boat to a wrecked sloop. They find a white kitten aboard and rescue it, crowning Freddy’s first shipwreck salvage as a lifelong keepsake. The tale blends the boy’s growth with seafaring duty and a tender moment of companionship.
