Reports from Washington show Dev ington riverfront dredging will wait until a new year and funding. Estimated cost is 15000 dollars with annual upkeep of 2000 dollars, contingent on local support and congressional authorization.
Daniel Ht uaiey, former area pastor in Treington and longtime staff member at Holy Innocents Church on West 87th Street, New York City, will appear on Station LAL azaln next Sunday 20 at 4 o clock. The subject is Daley broadcaster and its significance. Priest Joseph Malloy of the Paulist station asked him to speak again.
Stuart Peabody of Irvington chaired the drive as residents contributed to a hospital fundraising campaign. Official totals show Irvington donations totaling several thousand with deferred gifts expected to push final receipts above seventeen thousand. The hospital association praised local residents and towns for their generosity.

Court Margaret Mary plans annual dinner at Lawrence Inn Mamaroneck June 17.
The Ardsley Country Club hosts a Decoration Day party next Monday with an afternoon program of swimming events a mixed doubles tennis tournament and Whitehouse Cup golf. A buffet supper and dance follow from six to ten o'clock with committee heads Hincks St Haines Moore Richardson and Shaw overseeing the events.

Frederick King of Mt. Pleasant Lane will receive his B A degree at Hobart College on Monday. A 1920 Irvington High School graduate, he entered Hobart in 1932 and served as captain of the football team during his Junto year and cocaptain last fall. He earned a gold football for three years on the varsity eleven and placed second in Eastern Intercollegiate scoring in 1936 as Hobart remained undefeated in small college competition. George McWilliam of White Plains and Mr. and Mrs. J P King will attend graduation in Geneva.
Albert McGovern of Poekskil married Mary Salinsky of Beacon at the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday. Rev. S. McGovern, a cousin of the groom, officiated. William Burns of Cold Spring served as beat man and Helene McGovern, bridesmaid. About seventy five church attendees joined more than one hundred guests at Bescon for a reception feast prepared by John Foster of Greenwich, Conn.
The Irvington New Jersey post office announces Monday opening on Decoration Day from 7 30 to 9 00 o clock with no mail delivery that day. Postmaster Joseph J Reilly signs the notice.
Local trustee Murphy received a testimonial dinner in Selmtar's arm West Scarsdale as about five hundred county and village officials and friends attended. Surrogate Shells Senator Garrity and Supervisor Ferry sent congratulations. A. Lumming and Mayor Murtha spoke brief remarks. Miss Lillian Anders Rochelle was engaged to Murphy who received roses and club presentations.
Commissioner Charles A Ye outlined that the Auto Bureau promptly suspends or revokes licenses and registrations when false statements are found. New rules require a conviction report within 48 hours for non parking violations, enabling faster action and ongoing contact with the holder.
The Lord Ham Local and Athlete Club held a May drawing at Sts meeting. Jack Warren won the lone ticket. The event featured Hastings guests and performances by Silver Dollar RIN Tos man and others. A fishing trip on May 2 proved successful with plans for an early July outing. Paul Costello won largest catch and James McMurtrie placed second. Conrad Kaiser was thanked for skippering the party.
Two Irvington-on-Hudson girls, Katherine Ruth Balmer and Ruth Rutter, will receive A B degrees from Smith College at the June commencement. Balmer prepared at Dana Hall and majored in art with extensive campus activity. Rutter, prepared at The Masters School, majored in English and excelled in athletics, earning S pin and AllSmith blazer.
In the Hudson valley, the Thurdays Club held a Calvert estate auction at Lymwood. Auctioneer John M. Mitchell of Greenwich presided on the hot steps of the old stone house, selling attics and shorehouses treasures to raise about 31100 for St. F Aristown. Local volunteers and patrons assisted, with Mrs. Geors Myx and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson among organizers.
Elsieanna McClure will receive her degree from the College of Home Economics at Syracuse University commencement exercises in Archbold Stadium. Principal address by the dean, Miss McClure member of Hendricks Chapel board and Phi Mu sorority president, outdoor cap and gown procession to follow with Chancellor Williams delivering the sermon. The event marks the largest alumni gathering in recent years as spectators view the colorful ceremony.
Westchester Republican chairman Charles M. Griffiths urged party unity to elect three delegates from each of Westchester’s two senatorial districts to the constitutional convention next fall. He warned a Democratic majority could push consolidation and radical local-government revisions, stressing the need to maintain Republican strength in 51 districts and 15 at large delegates for a 168-member convention. The 25th and 26th districts, including Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, White Plains, Yonkers areas, and surrounding towns, will nominate the delegates.
Memorial Day activities mark the day with Veterans of Foreign Wars and village officials guiding a morning parade to the War Memorial. After exercises at the park, a procession leads to South Buckhout Street and Broadway for a park program featuring invocations, prayers, flower placements, and a school band. Field events for Irvington youths include sack races, three legged races, shoe races, and potato races, grouped by age.
Playland plans a Memorial Day crowd with a fireworks display and a two week engagement by Les Kimris and new high acrobatic artists. Aerials include an airplane revolving spectacle ninety feet high. Vera and partner perform daring swings in their act. The park opens bathing beach and pool on Saturday May 29 as warm weather draws sun enthusiasts.
