Prizes were awarded to top players and refreshments were served as the group enjoyed a pleasant night.
Emil Wisland plans to use the floor above the garage at his South F Street property, converting it into a modern apartment. Mr and Mrs Stuart R Stevenson hosted guests from Ardsley Park, Warwick NYC, and Fieldstone Riverdate for the weekend, highlighting a possible space addition.
Robert A Burns longtime Irvington resident died at his city home 442 West 5th Street on Sunday after four months with hardening of the arteries. He moved to Irvington as an infant, later lived in New York, and worked for a detective agency. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 30 p.m. with Rev Dr Ackert officiating. interment in Lutheran Cemetery. He is survived by his widow Josephine Macadoo Burns, married in New York City in June 1805. Old friends expressed intense regret at his passing.
More than twenty Altar boys from Immaculate Conception Church, under Rev. Dantel Daley, spent a day in New York. They toured St Patrick's Cathedral and its organ, marveled at skyscrapers, visited various sights, and finished with a circus outing, making it a memorable city day for many first timers.

The six year old son of Paul Jendruko of the Irving estate was killed Thursday afternoon when struck by a Pure Oil Co. truck at the Riverview Road entrance north of Point. A fatal auto accident involving Matthew Jenacko, 6, occurred near Sunnyside Lane. driver Thomas Mackburn aided by Elvins, with inquest to follow.
The water department reports extensive hydrant renovation led by Frank Unzner. Hydrants are being touched up with green and red colors to achieve a modern look, with work concluding in a few days.

At a meeting of the Presbytery of Westchester in the First Church of New Rochelle Dr W Francis Irwin was chosen as Commissioner to represent the body at the General Assembly to be held in Cincinnati from May 28 to June 6.
