The Independent list will appear alongside the Democratic tickets on the ballot with extended machine time for those candidates. Lee Murphy and other Democrats led the filing just before the deadline.

Clarence A Carpenter and wife of 30 Station Road faced a police incident after their two boys, Clarence Jr. and Wiley, ages 4, released a parked sedan’s brakes on Main Street. The car rolled into a traffic sign and struck the Irvington Tavern. Sergeant Habermehl intervened as the vehicle stopped. both boys were cited.

Auto Victim Making Recovery From Injuries

Mary Kelly of the Village Dies After Long Residence
Mrs Mary Kelly longtime resident of Irvington dies at her home on Tuesday following a long life begun in Ireland. Daughter of Daniel and Catherine Donovan she came to the United States in 1830 and settled in Irvington in 1896. Survived by daughters Anna May and Theresa and son James, she was served by Dr Harold A Storms of Dobbs Ferry. Requiem mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception led to burial in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Fogues move to Briarcliff Manor.
