Parents oppose renting parochial classroom for kindergarten
At a Monday Board of Education meeting many attendees opposed renting a room at Immaculate Conception School for two fall kindergarten classes. Board officials argued space was needed for six planned kindergarten classes next year. The discussion covered alternatives including other school spaces and church-related venues, with reactions ranging from strong opposition to tentative acceptance, and a plan to seek space elsewhere if a fair compensation agreement cannot be reached.
