Elder-Weds Miss Volk in Irvington Church Ceremony
At 2 20 PM last Saturday in the Irvington Presbyterian Church, Metta Miller Rochester of Tarrytown became the bride of Frederick James Elder of the village. The Rev Francis W Irwin performed the ceremony with the bride attended by Elizabeth Miller Rochester and Adelaide Elaine Rochester. Best man was Frederick Traver Elder. An informal reception followed at Windyside Rose Hill, and the couple will live there upon returning from their wedding trip.

Miss Knodel Returns From Library Convention
Max Emma Knodel librarian of the Irvington Public Library has returned from a library convention held the past week in Massachusetts. Mrs Charles D Fraser arrived here last week after several months absence and will occupy her home on West Clinton avenue for the summer. Arthur Loomia Harmon of Harri man Road helped select a winner for the Bridge prize donated annually by the American Institute of Steel Construction. The Westchester Park Commission won with a bridge over the Bronx Parkway carrying the extension at Earth Hla Te to a short span steel bridge. The committee was led by Tate Lindethal, a noted authority on bridge construction.
