Irvington High Graduation Policy Earns Praise
Record shows Irvington schools grant Regents diplomas only to those who qualify in June exams. All students can take Regents tests in all subjects, with no deadwood elimination. Despite six from the Class of 1941 not obtaining diplomas, pass rates reached 84.7 percent with seven subjects failed, a bonafide result praised by the community.
