Fourth Annual Field Day Held at Washington Irving Field

The fourth annual Field Day of the Greenburgh Interscholastic League at Washington Irving athletic field in Tarrytown was postponed from Friday due to wet grounds. Irvington led early as Truth Roane won the 50 yard dash and second in the standing broad jump. Edna Krum was runner up in the baseball throw. Joseph Palermo led in the senior shot put and Edward Costello won both high jump and running broad. A substitution dispute caused disqualification of two I. T. S. boys, costing Irvington points. Irvington withdrew, but Stills won the relay. Officials express regret and seek a fairer method for future meets.
