Irv ington Park card proposal and national fear talk
A reader urges Irvington trustees to issue park identification cards to village residents to keep non residents out of Matthiessen Park. The letter argues the park was donated for Irvington’s use and should remain so, amid broader fears of inevitability in national defense and politics. General Eisenhower warns war is not inevitable if NATO strengths are maintained.
