Road Plan Sparks Westchester Officials Debate and Critique

The Irvington Gazette notes Westchester County officials greeted news of a road with great enthusiasm, while criticizing public transportation and rail lines. It argues for routing away from the Hudson shore, aligning with the West Side Highway and Henry Hudson Parkway, and urges cooler heads to prevent excessive damage to communities. It laments dirty stations, outdated timetables, and portrays transportation as a political issue driven by car owners over public transit.
