An editorial argues rising hospital fees stress sickness as a public concern and posits state grants, not local piecemeal aid, to sustain hospitals like Tarrytown. It praises Sunnyside Community House in Irvington for mobilizing local youth and elders, emphasizing practical action over rhetoric and keeping politics and religion out.
