Vandals strike Memorial Park during Tuesday night
Recreation director Dean Stupke reported to police that Memorial Park suffered vandalism in the night. Bottles were broken in the wading pool near Staton Road, shutters were torn from the field house, bleacher seats ripped, 20 benches overturned, aluminum siding damaged, a portable pool bent, and home plate ripped from the baseball diamond. Police continue the investigation to identify the perpetrators. Mr and Mrs Jerome Franklin and family of 120 North Broadway are on a two week vacation at the Sahara in Islami Florida.
