Watson B Hastings of 18 Appleton Place Dobbs Ferry was elected president of the Westchester County Philatelic Society Chapter of the American Philatelic Society. Norman A Woodford of 253 Hudson Avenue Dobbs Ferry was elected secretary treasurer. Both have long memberships. Hastings previously served as secretary treasurer. Other officers were also elected.
Kenneth McBride son of Mr and Mrs Water McBride of 9 Soh Ferris St Providence RI a Bryant College sophomore in the School of Business Administration has been elected vice president of Chi Gamma tota an All veteran organization. He helped found the group and has been active in veterans affairs. He will serve as vice president for the upcoming year during the school term ending July 30. Afterward he plans to return to Irvington to spend Christmas vacation with his family.
Tevington Children’s Museum announces a summer program starting Monday July 21 with classes from 100 to 12. Outdoor activities are planned weather permitting. Art and craft sessions for boys and girls over nine run Monday Wednesday Friday. drawings and prints Monday. metal Wednesday. leather Friday. Puppets, dolls, crafts and games are offered for younger children on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Story hour resumes Wednesday at 10:30 in the children's room of the library. Registration forms and cooperation from parents are requested. dolls exhibition at Warner Library in Tarrytown features authentic costumes from Europe and costumes from the Americas and the Far East.

Audrey Lyth the daughter of aff and Mrs AthiaL Eth Dahle Henry of Tevinston has announced her engagement to Robert B Haring son of Mr and Mrs Tesse Re Haring of Escanah Michigan. He graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School and attended St Path College. He served in the Army three and a half years and now prepares for the ministry at Methel College and Seminary St Paul Minnesota.
Lyttle, a radio preacher, will be one of the speakers at an outdoor gospel meeting. The event is set for Saturday evening July 19 at Lyman Garden in Yonkers. The gathering, hosted by the Berhing Chapa, Yonkers, is expected to begin around 7 20 PM.

Irvington's title bid falters after the Hudson Valley Baseball League rules that two wins over Blisford Al State are forfeited for using ineligible players. The vote upheld enforcement, dropping Irvington from second to fifth with a 5 11 record.
The Irvington Post Office at 4B Main Street installed new brown oak fixtures this week. The improvements enlarge lobby space and automate service flow, including money order, registry, and general delivery windows. The private office entrance remains adjacent to the main door, with parcel drops and central mail slots enhancing efficiency. The lobby now exceeds double former size and the clerk area triples in usable space. The office has been ranked a second class facility.
The Catholic choir meets Sundays at 10:30 AM with a roster of members including Downing and Downe as director Bamet Downe. The group performs benediction and mass repertoire under organist Margaret and conductor names such as Donnick Niches and Bot Warren Oreanist.
