London Old Clothes Bazaar Hustle Ends In International Scam

A Bogus silver dollar and a con man named Joe from Newport, Ky., travels to London to exploit the old clothes market. He pivots from a stalled stall to launch the Great American Second-Hand Clothing Company, buying out Nathaniel Weihrauch and others. The venture spreads across East End and Whitechapel, with ads and offices in London and branches in New York Brussels and Paris. Joe later sits in a grand Oxford Street office, married to a real lady, and denies involvement in the earlier dollar incident, saying it was his grandfather’s.
