Funeral Services for L. J. Kiernan Held This Morning
Lawrence J. Kiernan a long time Irvington resident and skilled painter died Tuesday evening after a weeks long illness. Born in Ireland he came to Irvington 64 years ago and earned wide renown for his decorating work. He served in social and political circles including a tax receiver race, and belonged to Foresters of America Court Sunnyside Exempt Firemen’s Association and Holy Name Society. The funeral was at Immaculate Conception Church with burial at Sleepy Hollow. He is survived by his son William daughter Fannie Kiernan and brother Michael.

Thomas Killelea aged 68 died at his Dobbs Ferry home on Monday evening after eleven days of pneumonia. Born in Ireland he lived in Tarrytown eleven years before moving to Dobbs Ferry nine years ago. Funeral Mass was held at Sacred Heart Church and he is survived by wife and four children. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
