Irvington Fire Dept Dance Draws Big Crowd at High School
The Irvington Fire Department annual Entertainment and Ball on Friday January 8 at the High School auditorium is expected to attract a record crowd. Over 1000 tickets have been sold to village residents with many more reservations to come. Tewey hurts in crash resigns as town aid
Harry Tewey welfare department aide badly hurt in an automobile crash at Knollwood and Dobbs Ferry Roads in Greenburgh. He was removed to Dobbs Ferry Hospital with neck injuries brain concussion and other injuries. His fourteen year old son was also injured. Mrs Margaret F Graham resigned as Deputy Welfare Officer and Ann O Neill of Hastings was appointed to the vacancy. Town officials approved a tax anticipation loan and an ordinance to condemn unsafe buildings including a shed at Edward Crane in Tarrytowns area.

Jury finds Foggie guilty of assault at medical center
Walter B. Walker of Ardsley Park was the complainant and special prosecutor in the trial of Norman Forgle, a New York City driver, who was found guilty of third degree assault after running down Patrolman Francis Murphy last October 24. The trial jury included six men: Frederick Green, Ernest Cavagnara, Joslando, Stuart Peabody, Randolph Bisworth, and Courtenay Dinwiddle. The defendant’s attorney William R. Hogan filed an immediate appeal. Walker remains a patient at the Medical Center in New York City undergoing treatment for health issues, with a three week detention expected.
