The Sunnyside Community House, Inc of East levington requests appointment of a recreation director for the town headquar ters and community programs. The plan, before the Town Council, was sent to the Westchester County Recreation Commission due to lack of town funds. The Greenburgh Association reported residents of Old Colony, High Ridge and Club Way plan a private park on two plots near Hartsdale store, with a formal petition and 90 day extension sought. The Women’s Society for Christian Service of St Paul’s Church plans a card party in the church parlors tomorrow evening. Prizes and refreshments will be offered, inviting parishioners and friends to join for an evening of games and fellowship.
Joe's Spaghetti Diner at 68 Main Street undergoes a face lifting renovation adding five new booths and replacing benches to accommodate rising business. The only eating place on Main Street cites increased patronage as driving the upgrade.
Mrs Peggy Block a child psychologist and staff member of the Westchester County Children's Association will be the main speaker at the Ter Infiton Parent Teacher Association meeting on Monday night March 4 at Irvington High School. Block will discuss Remedial Reading in Schools based on recent courses and experience with primary teachers in upper Westchester.
A senior class theater program at Iverson High School offers a varied bill on March 8 and 9 featuring The Monkey Wan sac, The Valiant te i, and Adalenae. Four year old John F Smith was injured when his mother's car collided with a light truck on the Albany Post Road at Archill. The boy suffered facial cuts and swelling. his mother, father, and two year old sister were uninjured. The truck driver was treated for possible injuries.
