President R G Abercrombie of Irvington National Bank served as toast to The Bank of the Manhattan Company at the New York Chapter banquet of the American Institute of Banking in the Commodore Hotel. The 1700 attendee dinner featured Comptroller of the Currency D R Cristogster as principal speaker and was hailed as one of the best banquets seen.
Village residents are urged to donate cakes for the Irvington Pastime Club Masquerade Ball. The Town Hall will collect donations Monday after 3 PM, with a committee on hand to receive and thank donors for their kindness.

Euchre scheduled for March 17 under the vomipanions of the Forest is postponed due to another affair at Holy Name Hall. Members deny date conflict and indicate the cashre endarty might be held around late April.
A group of friends held a surprise birthday gathering for Clyde Northrop on Thursday evening. He was found contentedly seated in his arm chair with his favorite newspaper as well wishers entered. The celebration brought laughter and fond memories of the past year.

The High School History Class hosts a tea on February 28 from 1 to 6 in the Appleton building to raise funds for the Washington trip during spring vacation.
