Richard Bunnell Named Principal At Irvington School
Irvington Board of Education appointed Richard Bunnell of Cambridge Massachusetts as principal of Irvington Elementary School starting July 1 after Dr Radcliffe Daly resigned to become Lincoln Park superintendent. Bunnell, 30, was assistant principal at Hartwell Elementary in Lincoln MA and holds a Harvard Graduate School of Education master's. He will begin duties as a regular five year probationary appointee with a 10500 salary.

Republicans Name Gehrmann And Johnson For Village Trustee
The Republican party in Irvington, fresh from control of the Board of Trustees, names Ernest F. Gehrmann for a second term and William Lee Johnson of Harriman Road as his running mate. Johnson served as a captain in Korea and is an attorney. Gehrmann is a longtime Irvington resident, Boy Scout leader, and importer with a University of Virginia education. The party caucus approved a tribute to longtime member Fulton L. Brownes and to Mrs Fay McCabe, with George C. Sbyard to fill the vacancy on the village committee.

Science Fair Set For Friday And Saturday
The Fourth Annual Science Fair of Irvington High School will be held Friday and Saturday in the high school auditorium. Judges announced by Donald Wormley include Dr. Warren F. Goodell Nevis Cyclotron Dr. Richard Back entomologist Uhlon Carbide Richard Kohler chemist General Foods Corporation Jerald Ivers White Plains High School Harold Meszaros Irvington High School. Exhibits will be judged prior to opening to the public from 7 30 p.m. to 9 40 p.m. Friday. Prizes will be awarded at 8 60 p.m. that evening. Saturday hours are 10 to 3 p.m. Award winners will be announced in next week's Gazette.

ASPCA Sets Supper Dance in Hilton Inn at Tarrytown
The Adoption Service Program for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals schedules its third annual Supper Dance for February 24 at the Hilton Inn in Tarrytown. Three Plaques To Be Dedicated Youth Center Deeds
Irvington Youth Center will present to the Village of Irvington the Recreation Building renamed in honor of the late Isabel K Benjamin. The former St Pauls Church was purchased by the center with fund drive proceeds. Three plaques, a deed, and the naming of the Isabel K Benjamin Community Center will be unveiled at 4:00 p.m. by Richard C Wells and Mayor George F Gillen.

Phillips Labs to Briarcliff for zoning change
North American Philips plans to relocate its Irvington laboratory to Briarcliff within two years after Briarcliff approved rezoning for a 74 acre Speyer Estate site. Philips has occupied the Reedstone house since World War II and remodeled recently to expand lab space. Rumors of land purchase and a Ridgefield move were premature and no approach was made to the Irvington boards for rezoning of current property.
