Mr and Mrs Harry Way of South F street receive congratulations on the birth of their granddaughter to Mr and Mrs D C Wright on Monday February 11 at Misericordia Hospital New York City The Wrights were formerly Miss Anna Fay and wed at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel in New York City last April Mother and baby are doing nicely.
Dobbs Ferry Hospital report lists admissions and discharges with limited detail. Donations from Mrs. Chase include breast bindings while Mrs. J Clendenin and others contribute magazines, brass bed items, hospital supplies, milk, candy for nurses, signs repairs, ice cream, cake, fruit and vegetables, flowers, and linen from Zion Episcopal Church.
Mr A A Milne's comedy Mr Pim Passes By will be staged at Irvington Town Hall on Friday evening February 29 at 8 15 for the Hudson River Music School benefit by the Dobbs Ferry Women's Club. Tickets go on sale soon with box seats ten dollars and lower sections one dollar to one fifty. The Hudson River Music School provides instruction to pupils in Hastings Dobbs Ferry Ardsley Irvington East Irvington Pennybridge and White Plains and is supported entirely by voluntary contributions.
At the dog show now under way at Madison Square Garden the Chow owned by Mr and Mrs Gatsch won a blue ribbon. The animal attracted many passersby near Main street and Broadway. The regular monthly meeting of Court Margaret Mary No 815 Catholic Daughters of America met February 7 in Holy Name Hall with large attendance. The library reading room will include Catholic America magazine. the February 29 reception was postponed due to hall unavailability. Next meeting is March 6. Court Cherubim No 105 invites members to a card party and dance February 20 at St Teresa Hall Tarrytown starting 8:18 p.m.

The engagement of James Lincoln Kiernan of 18 East Clinton Avenue to Miss Viola DeSoto of South Broad Way, Tarrytown, has been announced. Kiernan is with Michael Kiernan & Co., a general contracting firm active in Irvington and other parts of Westchester.
The Catholic Club defeated Alcides at the Irvington gym in a tightly fought game. Morrell and Fallon led scoring while Sweetman and Broderick anchored strong defense, as Irvington built and preserved a three point edge to the finish. The Arrows also won, and next Monday Catholic Club faces Victory Big Five while Alcides Juniors meet the Arrows.
Northfield Club's Friday program drew a capacity audience with amateur players and visiting musicians. Irwin, an expert pianist, responded to many encores as Miss Bernard of Dobbs Ferry directed the lively bill featuring a student string quartet, a two act play by Marguerite Bernard, English folk songs, a movie burlesque, and the act Katinka from Chance Spurls.
The Irvington Catholic Club will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday evening February 19 at 8 in the club rooms. Elections for the coming year will be held, and all members are urged to attend. After the business portion there will be social entertainment, refreshments, songs, and surprises planned by the committee.
