Westcott Dies Sudden at 72 in Harvard Mass
William Reid Westcott longtime Irvington educator and library board member died suddenly at his Harvard Massachusetts home aged 72. He served six years on the Irvington Board of Education during the Main Street high school era and was active in the Presbyterian church. He retired in 1916 from Lord and Burnham Company, moved to a Harvard farm, and his funeral was held at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge with relatives and friends in attendance.

Tragedy Strikes Same Way Twice Auto Crash In South
Henry Rendall Wilson son of Mrs Allen Acheson formerly of Ardsley Park died in an automobile crash near Montgomery Alabama. His death recalls the 19 year old Saw Mill River Road crash near Elmsford involving Henry Graves Led and others as volunteers patrolled Ardsley Park after burglaries. Wilson left Yale in January to join the Army and was en route from Montgomery to Maxwell Bird where his unit was stationed. His mother and grandparents are named. residents of Ardsley Park previously organized patrols to curb burglaries in the area. The Standard Bearers of Saint Pauls Methodist Church will hold a food sale at the church on Saturday February 15 from 2 to 5 PM.

Mr and Mrs Joseph Schreiber of Cedar Ridge marked their 48th wedding anniversary on the first Saturday night at their Cedar Ridge home. Married Feb 9 1943 in Ridgely MA they lived in Maryland ten years before settling in Texington. Mrs Schreiber a former New York resident came from Alsace Lorraine. They have six sons Joseph Se Philip Jacob Frederick Charles Walter and two daughters Amelia Felmenti plus two grandchildren. The couple received many gifts and blessings at a reception attended by family friends and local clergy.
