Five nonresident pupils remain enrolled in the Evans ton schools, two high school students among them. The board accepted the resignation of Mrs Josephine Bracken, who will leave this year and not return to teach art in September. Interim coverage will be provided by Mrs Marion Wilner, with sabbatical leave for Miss Beverly Welch and Mrs Beulah Nelson, both residents of New York City.
The Irvington Bonn of Edves tion joins Dobbs Ferry Has tings and Tarrytown in launching a series of slow learner classes at Dobbs Ferry High School starting September. Sixteen students aged 10 to 14 will begin the program. Approval, after district officials recommended it, was given to use the building, with five villages sharing costs. A survey found 60 slow learners in the five districts needing this instruction, but space constraints raise questions beyond next year. Local figures list sponsors, advisory members, and clergy aides in the effort.
Village officials dispute party slates for the March 16 election after meetings in Town Hall. Two Board of Trustees seats will be filled. Nominees considered include William P. Rogas and Norman W.
