Camp Fire Girls Hold Grand Council Fire at Zion Parish House
Last Saturday Camp Fire Girls from Irvington Dobbs Ferry Yonkers attended a Grand Council Fire in Zion Parish House. Irvington lit the Candle of Work while Dobbs Ferry lit the Candle of Health and Candle of Love. Wigmonke Miss Margaret Bliss of Dobbs Ferry earned Fire Maker. Each camp offered a stunt and refreshments were served for a small, family audience. The next Jott Council Fire is expected here in June.

Thomas Boothe de Forest secretary of the Lord and Burnham Company died at Dobbs Ferry Hospital on Sunday February 6 after a month of illness. Funeral services were held at the home of W A Turnham on Tuesday. Born in Derby Connecticut September 26 1882 he studied at Stevens Institute and spent twenty years with the green house basin. He also served as secretary of the Floriete Club of America and married Jennie Burnham in 1916. survivors include three children.

High School Notes Show Busy Week of Events
The Starving Children fund nears ninety dollars with Kindergarten and First Grade raising about thirteen dollars. The Prize Speaking musical practice led by Theresa Thornbury began yesterday morning. A Sophomore Class meeting, presided by Edward J Costello, was held Friday afternoon. A Monday High School Auditorium concert drew twenty five dollars, totaling seventy five. The Athletic Association thanks participants and attendees of the event. The boys basketball team lost to Dobbs Ferry in the I H S gym, with Vanderlip School next at Scarborough and a return game planned in early March. Several students gave extemporaneous speeches and more are expected. the Interscholastic contest will be March fourth at Irvington High School with topic to be announced. The junior class meeting planned for Wednesday was postponed.

Local Talent Aids School Concert At Auditorium
