Plans for the 1955 American Red Cross Fund Drive were outlined by Mr. and Mrs. Herbert McIntosh of Meadow Way on a Sunday afternoon. McIntosh urged county members to join a March effort led by Herbert G. Macintosh with Mrs. Eugene Uman as secretary and Mrs. S. T. Gilchrist handling publicity. Mrs. Brown described Red Cross services in disasters and emergencies, including temporary relief, repair and replacement of homes, medical needs, and locating new housing. Tea was served by Mrs. Macintosh and Mrs. Robert Samuel. The drive runs through March with an organized leadership team and section captains listed.
