The Catholic Club reveals two men plan a bold town venture labeled Fine Business. They lease the village’s largest building for an initial appearance on Friday February 24 at 8 15 PM with a high class orchestra, entertainers, and medical staff for safety. Tickets are sold at Tynan Broadway Candy Shop with box office at the store.
Fred J. Bierce presided over the thirty second Cortland Normal Alumni reunion in the Hotel McAlpin Ballroom New York Broadway and 34th Street. About two hundred graduates and guests from thirty six classes attended a formal reception and dinner. Oldest attendee was Rev John B Calvert D D with over fifty years since attending the school.
Mrs Joseph Orlando of 68 Main street visited during the week to see her ailing mother. George Heald reports his recent trouble required a double operation and recovery will take time. Mrs Warren Briggs and daughter from Tarrytown visited Mrs Henry Bing. Mr and Mrs R Irwin of South D street welcomed a baby boy born Saturday. Helen Sweetman was confined at home early in the week. Mrs F J Morgan attended her uncle Robert Irwin's funeral in Brooklyn. Mrs Henry Nichols has a severe cold at home. Robert Rossvally of Hoboken, foreman for Louis F Stanke, was ill at week’s start. Joseph Ganalas, formerly local and now in the Bronx, ill but improving. Page three lists new outgoing schedule from Irvington Post Office. Adeleide Bruce noted for Sunday social visits. Mrs Fred J. Bierce hosted Miss Lacy Stone from Binghamton this week. Lord & Burnham Company and Burnham Boiler Corp. started a mid day lunch for out of town employees to boost patronage of local merchants.
Mr William Kemp the genial superintendent of the Ardaley Club sailed Saturday for Bermuda. Mrs Kemp and children accompanied Mr Kemp on the trip.

A high class entertainment program featuring motion pictures and vauderie will be held at Afusle Hall Tarrytown next Wednesday evening February 16 under the auspices of St Elmo Council No 318 Knights of Columbus. Admission is $1.00 with no reserved seats Shaw will start promptly at 8 15.

Bird Life Between films and Joseph Linder piano selections well received. Whitmore spoke on East Irvington organizations. After program, refreshments served in church parlor.

A crowded Town Hall euchre event drew broad town representation with dance afterward. Fr Donlon and co organizers thanked local business supporters who donated prizes. Music by a White Plains orchestra accompanied games with many gifts awarded to numerous winners.
