Study Groups Set for Irvington Women Voters Meeting

Village Board Learns Only $8 281 Of 1960 61 Tax Levy Not Paid Yet
Village Clerk-Treasurer Kr Wistrand told the Board of Trustees that on February 1 all but 8281.00 of the 1960 61 village tax had been collected, about 2 816 percent of the levy. State aid for the fiscal year starting June 1 would rise 8025 over last year, totaling 13735. Mayor Gillen urged attendance at the February 20 meeting to discuss a proposed recreation center agreement with Irvington Youth Center Inc. The resignation of library board member Mrs H B Scott was accepted. The board declined selling part of land acquired in Redar Ridge but considered bids on another lot. Election hours were set for March 21 with registrations March 11, and four village election districts listed. Mrs Clay Rice Smith urged saving dinero through a League of Women Voters suggestion.
