Dr Harald A Storms longtime Dobbs Ferry physician died Saturday at Dobbs Ferry Hospital after a brief illness. He practiced in Dobbs Ferry Ivington Hastings and Ardsley for nearly 40 years and served in WWI and WWII. He headed the local Board of Health and was an officer of the Dobbs Ferry School District. Survived by wife Ruth and two daughters, with a son killed in Korea. Funeral services held at Dobbs Ferry Presbyterian Church with many in attendance.

Village board weighs traffic curb stop and off street parking
The Sinton village board adopted a stop sign ordinance for the Croton Aqueduct project on the Old Road and discussed parking along South Buckhout Street near the former Photocellar site. Residents urged a sidewalk on the west side and off street parking requirements for the new factory, as police and highway committees were asked to study the issues. State Traffic Commission will count traffic at Broadhar d sley Avenue and Broadway Sunnyside Lane in June, with peak hours 7–9 am and 4–7 pm on Ardsley Avenue.

Funeral services for John Greenan in sleepy hollow
John Greenan of 13 North Cotton Street former custodian of the Lyceum Building in Tarrytown died in Dobbs Ferry Hospital Monday night. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception with High Mass. Interment followed in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. A British World War I veteran born in Scotland, he lived in Irvington thirty years and served with the Royal Scots Fusiliers. He was survived by his wife, former Ross Gala, and two sons John J. Greenan and Togly, of North Tarrytown ME. Greenan was an original member of the community.
