At St Pauls Methodist Church annual conference in Irvington the unanimous call was extended to Pastor Verling R. Ruigh to remain for another year. Mr and Mrs Wallan celebrated their fifty fourth wedding anniversary yesterday at 39 Main Street Irvington. Residents of Irvington all their lives, the gathering took place at Mes Edward McHale’s home in Riverdale. Attending were Mrs McHale and eleven children including Edward Frank Joseph Morgan John Lathem and others.

The marriage of Miss Elizabeth Ange Rugh daughter of the Rev and Mrs Verling A Rugh of 2 Willow Street to Admiral Arnold Watts son of Mr and Mrs A Watts of Portsmouth Ohio took place Sunday in St Pa Methodist Church with the father of the bride officiating The ceremony was attended by Miss Priscilla Sword Donald Zech and others The couple reside in Columbus Ohio where each is a senior at Ohio State University Mr Watts served as a bomber pilot in the Army Air Forces in Europe
The Women’s Society of St. Paul’s Methodist Church hosts a social event titled A Cara and Games Party in the church social room on Tuesday evening. The committee in charge will arrange tickets, obtainable from any society member. Proceeds fund church service initiatives.
