Michael Kiernan, a long time resident and retired builder known for his expertise in county contracting, died Tuesday from heart complications. He lived on Avenue and contributed to the church and local history, serving as a trustee where he once lost by a single vote.
Police hold the ring leader of a swindling gang on a $20,000 bond after a New York grand jury inquiry. He was married to Augusta Elizabeth Tyne, late Mrs Tyne.
