Services Set For James DeForest Edwards in Ossining
James DeForest Edwards of Ossining died Tuesday at Dobbs Ferry Hospital from a stroke at home. He was eighty three and would have marked sixty years married this June. Funeral services held at Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Lotthouse and Rev. Pearson officiating, interment Mount Hope Cemetery. Survived by wife Mary Elizabeth and son William H. Edwards plus three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Edwards was born August 2, 1885 in New Castle and belonged to Knights of Pythias and Junior Order United American Mechanics. Street crews treated icy roads with cinders on Matin Street and South Broadway after heavy coatings caused traffic issues.
