Michael Dinan Dies After Long Illness at Town Hall
Michael J. Dinan longtime custodian of the Town Hall since its 1901 opening died at his home 119 Brain Street after a lengthy illness. He served continuously with brief absences for vacations or trips to New York to see the Giants. His death prompted the Town Trustees to adjourn in his memory. Funeral services were held at the Immaculate Conception Church with burial at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Dinan, born in Irvington seventy one years ago, was active in Irvington life, married twice, and survived by his wife Therese Duhamel and two sons, James and Paul, plus siblings and other relatives. He was associated with the Irvington Fire Department, local clubs, and Knights of Columbus.

Invitations went out for the ninth annual Ardsley Gayotte to be held Friday evening at the Ardsley Country Club December 29. Virginia Robson, daughter of Mr and Mrs Guy Rob inson, will chair the year's Christmas fete with an executive committee including Misses Mary Cape Betty Blanchard and Natalie Small. Several dinner parties will precede the affair at homes of the younger set. Guests include Miss Betty Blanchard and Miss Joyce Kimbel daughter of Mr and Mrs William A. J. Kimbel of Ardsley Park Jack Black son of Mrs Dorothy Prince Black of Barney Park and Miss Ruth Reed of Yonkers. The Princeton Tigers will supply music for dancing.

Home and School Xmas Party Brightens High School
About fifty persons attended the Home and School Christmas party in the high school auditorium. Decorations by G. K. Chisholm and assistants set a festive scene with evergreens and red cellophane. Prizes were awarded for active games led by Ralph Smith and Wes ley Shuler. Songs were led by Mrs. Smuige at the piano, with Bateman performing a solo and a duet with Raymond Gilligan. Refreshments featured red candies and a large centerpiece.
